"“We couldn’t have beaten William and Mary tonight. We couldn’t have beaten a high school team,” safety Ryan Clark said."

Weird choice of words, considering W&M is having a pretty good year. In fact, we have the best record and most wins of ANY division 1 school, FCS or FBS, in the Commonwealth.

So, The Washington Post's own Tom Boswell wrote a nice retort to Ryan's choice words.

Actually, the "retort" was in a "Letter to the Editor" regarding Tom Boswell's column, most likely written by a W&M fan/alum - but it WAS a good retort

Posted this yesterday on our Facebook/Twitter accounts. It was a response written by "Buzz Hawley, Arlington" -- he got his BA at W&M

Jerome Couplin was cut and released by the Lions yesterday. Detroit has three ends out and they signed two yesterday and added another to their taxi squad.

What are the chances that he clears waivers and ends up on the practice squad? I'd think there are a few other teams that would be willing to sign him.

RE: Tribe - 2014 NFL Edition
Couplin made the team initially because the Lions were depleted in the secondary due to injuries. He clearly earned his way on to the 53 man roster and the Lions are a very good team on defense right now. I'd actually like to see another team take a chance on him rather than see him on a practice squad.

How about my pathetic Redskins?

Initially, from reading this article, http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdo...44265.html

Then went to ESPN and saw this http://espn.go.com/blog/detroit-lions/po...tice-squad

He's heading to London to help the team prepare for their game there.

I was confused for a second as a Ravens CB (#21) is Webb.

"The #Bills have been awarded SS Jerome Couplin off waivers. Couplin, a rookie from William and Mary, played in 8 games with Lions this year."

Lissemore did the, "Sean Lissemore, defensive tackle, The College of William and Mary" bit for the Chargers intro the other night. It seems he's found a home in SoCal.

So he's good enough for a strong Eagles team but somehow unworthy of a spot on the Redskins roster? Note to the Skins....your secondary sucks, especially at safety. Keep overpaying for washed-up vets.
