Not sure, but I would think it is safe to say that Charles Tillman has a very good shot to get into the HOF. He is a very good CB who plays for a historic team and does tremendous non-profit work and has a stellar reputation with the media.

You must mean, the Youngstown St game, Jim Tressel coached team.
And a side note: AP spent that entire week on crutches nursing a turf toe injury & was a game time decision, & the week before when he unload on UMass for the playoff single game rushing record, he had been battling the flu all week. It was my freshman year & I was a student manager w/ the team & helped run the headsets........I can still see the Run from my spot on the sideline& celebrating w/ Coach Jasper, the QB coach, during & after the run.

Totally agree. Took the title from the article, but just changed it.

One of my all time favorites!
What is amazing is that if memory serves correctly, he carried the ball the remaining distance on the very next play delivering (AND TAKING) a big hit on the goal line that rocked him back.... and then he leaned back forward and drove into the end zone. Anybody have the clip of the next play?

Peterson was from another planet. Was like a man playing among boys.

GSU's 15-0 season in 1989 remembered
Georgia Southern finished a perfect 15-0 season with a 37-34 victory over Stephen F. Austin for its third Division I-AA national championship.
Legendary football coach Erk Russell retired after the Eagles became the first Division I team in the 20th century to post a 15-0 record.
GSC averaged more than 47 points a game during its first three playoffs wins to advance to another championship game against the best tams FCS had to offer.

I can pick out performances for all three but it's become confusing.
Posters have talked about everything, but it a school players best individual season in football.

Was that the lawn mower year?
No that was the year we won our third national championship and beat Michigan. Armanti was injured in practice before the season began. Was a miracle he could play as well as he did against Big Blue. Had to take a bunch of games off after that to heal. Came back in the GaSo game, but shouldn't have, was still hurting a lot.
