Marcus Ball impresses at Saints scrimmage
Nice articles on Ball on the Saints site and in the Times-Picayune. He had a sack and an interception which would have been a touchdown.

They love his enthusiasm, his maturity, and his perception of where the ball is. He is shown working the crowd at the Black and Gold game. Sounds like the same enthusiastic, driven guy I enjoyed watching here. So happy to see another Tiger making opportunities for himself in the NFL. Marcus is a safety and spent two years in the CFL as a Toronto Argonaut. The Saints are looking forward to a really good year.

Keep your eye on little brother, Reggis, safety for the Tigers. 04-rock

RE: Marcus Ball impresses at Saints scrimmage
very positive excerpt from Saints camp on ESPN:

Safety Marcus Ball also got a mini-promotion on Monday, rotating in with the first-team defense as a third safety at times. It was quite a leap for Ball, who has spent the entire summer working with the third string. But the former Canadian Football League standout helped his cause with a great performance in Saturday’s scrimmage. Payton praised Ball afterward as an instinctive player who could be an asset on special teams. And safety Kenny Vaccaro had even higher praise Monday: “Marcus, he’s a fiery guy. He reminds me of myself last year. He empties out the tank every day, and he’s gonna be a great player.” … I feel even better about moving Ball on to my projected 53-man roster Monday morning.
