RE: Renard Cheren in camp?
A good reporter would ask the question then as to why he isn't on the roster listing. It's a shame we lost the other guy from Florida as he was the one I was looking forward to seeing the most, but it does sure sound like Ezra Saffold can fly all over the place.

Yes, but Ezra is only 5'7, where as Rawls was 6'2. There are six guys under 5'10 and only five over 6'. I know height doesn't equal talent, but it does limit what you can do as a WR.

My favorite dunking story is when I played against Todd Peat freshman year in a pick up game. He went baseline, I thought about cutting him off but seeing that he weighed twice what I did at the time, I decided against it. He threw it down pretty good. The guy was like the frig.

Brown isn't short...lol. I don't have a problem with little guys, but Tommy, Turner, Beebe, Brinlee, Saffold. That's a lot of guys with absolutely no size. It's a bit of a concern if Brown or Canada goes down and you don't really have a bail out guy who you can just throw it up to.

Well let's hope Mitchell and Blake can play. They have more size, as does Glasper. I think there are 4-5 guys over 6'1, but one can't play til next year and we don't know if the others besides Brescacin can play.

from looking for at it, i think it is Cheren. It looks like hes wearing #16 which isnt even on the roster and also his cousin in florida commented on the picture. doubt she would do that if she knew he never made it up to NIU. guess we'll see but looks like a good sign

Would a grey-shirt be listed on the roster?

Grey-shirts can't practice with the team.

He is now officially on the roster #16. So it looks like we got 3 of the 4 Florida guys we were hoping for. Just hope that the one that got away wasn't the best one.

That being WR Kenneth Rawls. Actually he was the one I was looking forward to seeing the most. Glad to see whatever was holding the other guys back has been cleared up.
