Big East Leads In Men's Basketball Revenues
http://www.statisticbrain.com/ncaa-colle...tatistics/

Big East | $154,122,296
Big Ten | $138,054,933
ACC | $133,479,911
SEC | $124,636,534
Big 12 | $105,706,308
Pac-10 | $80,129,005
A-10 | $54,582,759

Nothing listed from the AAC, so I don't know how well they did.

I'm guessing that is old data and is the old big east, not the new big east.

RE: Big East Leads In Men's Basketball Revenues
problem is none of the stats are really accurate...
# of FBS teams is not 120- it was 124 or 125 last year and going up...
# of D1 teams total is now 252, not 245 like they have on the chart.
50.2 million is the actual number for attendance last year.

Oh, and NCAA tournament money last year was 681 million dollars. The link said 433 million. Thinking that's probably the old tv contract....

RE: Big East Leads In Men's Basketball Revenues
Also if you take the revenue from the top 7 conferences supposedly- 790,711,746. 86 teams in those 7 conferences. that would be an average of 9.194 million dollars. If Those 7 conference teams averaged 9.194 million, how in the hell would the average college basketball team make 10.1 million. There's just no way.

Also frankly, there would be no way to come up with a number with the Big East since we're all private. Seems highly questionable.

Not to mention there is no break down for the P5 of football vs basketball TV revenue. I still don't believe those numbers either... a 9 team conference isn't going to have more money than the SEC (14) or Big 10 (12).

2013-2014 data wasn't even out by then. I don't think it is out now.

It's not. I've been looking for it. Also, everywhere I've seen this article posted, it's been debunked b/c of bad data.
