Chad Frazier has been granted a release from UAB and will not return next season, per his brother Sim Frazier.

Good thing we sent him to that point guard camp.

I guess now it will be OK to openly question how he treats women.

Also, good thing our local press is all over this story.

We will find out for sure in 2 weeks - when Crenshaw reports on it.

It'll be interesting to see if any details come out of this. Interesting timing, that's for sure.

This is going to hurt next year, but it's probably best for the future of the program. Will our fan base turn on Haase with another sub par season likely coming though?

Well, our chances of having a good year are now significantly lower.

It'll be interesting for Hasse for sure. This is a critical year IMO to take a step forward for the fan base and especially for recruiting for Haase. Another sub par year is going to make it difficult for Haase to continue to recruit at a high level, which we all know is the lifeblood of a program.

Half of you guys wanted him gone even before the mess so you get your wish! The staff has done a great job recruiting they will be fine I wouldn't jump ship just yet. As for chad he's a Pro recent mock drafts have him late second round who knows what can happen. Sucks all the way around though for everyone involved. I'm confident though everyone will land on their feet.

Yep. I think we have a lot of really good players on this team, but a really young team just got younger. But you are right, recruiting will get much tougher if we don't start winning. Hopefully we have some guys coming in who are ready from day 1.

Without Frazier, next season will be similar to last. Depth will be better, but it'll be inexperienced. Hopefully, Robert Brown's game has taken several steps forward in the past year.

Hakeem Baxter isn't magically available this season, is he?

I'm not convinced we will be significantly worst. We have a lot of untapped talent on the team, some who might get to touch the ball. Instead of a one man team, we can have a five man team again.

The biggest concern obviously is the effect early on in the Atlantis tournament. I guess Watts will be out point guard going in.

Wow, this guy is actually telling the truth. Really weird that chad isn't going to play this year though if he is projected late in the draft.

I don't think anybody wanted chad gone before this mess. I think a lot of people wanted to see him utilized in a different role. He's one of the best pure scorers UAB has had in a while.
