The NFL has taken a hard left turn in the last decade and that is a shame. However, soccer itself is a sure sign of left wing policy.

doubtful. There isn't a minimum or maximum wage in soccer. Teams in soccer can go out of business. A team isn't rewarded for finishing last in soccer. Players are not trained by "the state" in soccer like in football. In soccer you don't get bailed out by something called "Revenue Sharing"

If you read the article, it talks about how soccer is embraced in socialist societies. It's the connection the game has to its fans. Most of the fans are unaware of the inner workings. Soccer itself is part of a left wing society's overall image. It's no wonder that when America slides left, soccer becomes more popular. It gives liberals something to rally behind. Sadly, with that always comes violence and protest. You can take the liberal out of the union rally, but cannot take the union rally out of the liberal.

Soccer is a redistributive dreamer's delight, with most of the potential risk-reward strategy of the sport removed by rule. It is a self-esteem cornucopia, where a blistering rout of, say, 2-0 seems so close in the score book. No one's feelings get hurt at 2-0. And on and on the socialist feel goes.

We all know that already. You can't even pretend not to know the score. Then again, 0-0 is the perfect score for a "no score" league, I guess.

Soccer relegates team that don't perform well. That's capitalism baby.

What is the difference between a game where the score it 89-88 or 1-0. both teams that won only defeated the other team by one point. There is still a winner and loser.
