Not possible. Do you really not get this?
When do you think you might find time to address the dead innocent Israelis? You know, the deaths that lead to the deaths of your innocent Palestinians.

Yea, those rockets fired by Hamas to end the truce aren't intended for innocent civilians. Your hatred of Jews is just too much for you to overcome.

If you harbor, allow, cheer for and condone the activities and very existence of terrorists in your midst, you are hardly "innocent".
Quite the contrary actually, you are complicit and partially responsible for what comes next.

Even after the terrorists violate the cease fire by shooting rockets into TelAviv, Israel is extending the cease fire by 24 hours. How evil is that?

If I was a Jew living in Tel Aviv I'd absolutely think it was evil. If I'm being attacked I want to fight back.

Israel wants peace. Most Jewish services starts and ends with a prayer for peace. Even morning the dead comes before a prayer for peace. Islam has no prayer for peace.

Palestinians don't gain much by peace, certainly not the status quo which won't happen. The settlements keep expanding, so a time of peace is a time of continued strangulation for them. Doesn't excuse Hamas, but I'm sure they get a lot more support because of it. That, and the social services they apparently provide.

What he doesn't understand, and he is not alone, is combat operation, especially in an Urban Environment. Throw in an enemy who is actively putting civilians at risk and you make a difficult situation darn near impossible.

There are no settlements in Gaza. The status quo is largely a result of the history of suicide bombing and prior rocket attacks into Israel. This episode will not improve things for them in the long run. Peace is not to blame for their current situation.

RE: Hamas rejects extension of cease fire. Fires rockets at Israel
This should really be called Kerry's war. I was convinced prior to the events of the last month or six weeks that Kerry's initiative would end in war (though I had heard other analyses say that conditions were such that it would not).
Now, we have al Qaeda's man in the White House out front guaranteeing that - not only was he able to broker a peace agreement between HAMAS and Fatah - but he is active out front as on the political front for HAMAS as well. Imagine that if he'd been elected president, Osama bin Laden would've received the Nobel Peace prize by now and Kerry would've negotiated a return of Spain back to Islamist rule.
Kerry seems intent on delivering a HAMAS victory even without them having to abide by a cease fire. Perhaps NIU007 is right that peace has no value for the Palestinians. They require a coordinated front of idiots in the white house and an eruption of temper tantrums from Gaza.
Israel slams Kerry for handling of Gaza crisis | i24news - See beyond
http://www.i24news.tv/en/news/internatio...aza-crisis Wrote:Israel is said to be angry specifically at the fact that Kerry was promoting a ceasefire proposal put forth by Qatar and Turkey, countries which openly favor Hamas. On Saturday, Palestinian sources told The Times of Israel that Kerry informed Hamas via Qatar last week that the US would guarantee the fulfillment of many of Hamas’s demands for an end to the war.
These guarantees reportedly include an easing of restrictions on the passage of goods and businessmen from Israel to Gaza; expansion of the permitted Gaza fishing zone to 12 miles off the coast; the opening of the Rafah crossing with Egypt, to be manned by Palestinian Authority officials; and a promise to ensure the transfer of salaries to Gaza’s government employees.
Hamas has also demanded the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails and the building of a sea and airport in Gaza.
The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, recently met with a group of businessmen from Gaza to discuss issuing more entry permits to Israel in order to allow for an expansion of trade.
Well before the fighting began on July 8, Israel had been considering an easing of its restrictions imposed on Gaza in recent years to prevent the smuggling of materials, weapons and people intended for use in terrorist activity. Nonetheless, Israel does not want to be perceived now as rewarding Hamas in any way for its rocket and tunnel attacks against Israel.
Kerry's ceasefire proposal includes a cessation of hostilities followed by negotiations in Cairo on a permanent truce. The Palestinian delegation, which would comprise representatives of various Palestinian factions including Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, would speak on behalf of Hamas, The Times of Israel reported.
Israel's security cabinet was to meet Sunday morning to decide the next steps in the military operations.
In Paris, Kerry met European and Middle Eastern foreign ministers Saturday to push both sides to extend the temporary cessation of hostilities which went into effect Saturday morning.
Israel agreed to extend its ceasefire for an additional 24 hours, but Hamas did not.
