AAC Recruiting.
Memphis recruiting has gotten better in the sense that the players Fuente have brought on are coachable, hard workers, and want to win. Our recruiting classes are never that high, but this team gets better every year under Fuente.
Hell UT had like a top 3 class under Kiffin and by the time those guys graduated most had been kicked off the team or transferred.
So I ask, are star rankings better now or in 4 years? I say later when production can be calculated.

No.
You made this tread to troll Cincy about it's recruiting class based on one site. Then people give you a rebuttal and you don't like that.
Like others have said WVU may be making more money right now but I see more AAC teams on TV than WVU. And your recruiting will soon be negatively affected by losing so much.
I feel bad for any WVU fans who want to go to away games.
Btw almost every WVU game was on national tv last year, not sure what you're talking about here. WVU is in the process of landing a top 25 class so you're wrong about that too.
FS1, and a couple on regional ESPNU (which I would prefer over FS1) is what you guys had.

I didn't bail on the thread. I've been busy.
Anyway I really did start the thread to talk about AAC recruiting, it was your fans who got all butt hurt and started taking shots at WVU because I said your class wasn't great. Guess what, it's still a very average class. I understand you guys have thin skin because you guys got left behind but I certainly didn't start this thread to call out Cincy fans. Cincy has never been a rival of WVU and I don't think I've ever heard a WVU fan trash talk the Bearcats. Stop being so sensitive.
Dude your priceless. In your very first post, you single out Cincinnati. Our class is fine. We have never had a top 25 class ever. It is no big deal. For instance, you may sign a top 25 class, but after the drip drip drip, your class looks much different. You guys take chances on kids that will not make it to campus. Gwaltney comes to mind. Pac man jones was probably a highly rated recruit. The high school star only tells a limited story.
Consequently, your head coach is terrible. He can recruit a bit, but that defense. How can you have such a terrible quarterback. With all this talent, why aren't you good? You struggle against William and Mary and others. In your last game against the Big East, you got crushed in a bowl by Syracuse. I see your team as terrible this year. You need to address your own problems.
I know it is kind of fun to say you are not our rival. Whatever, if you say so, but you were gonna be our b****h. Without a qb injury and a missed chip shot we beat you 3 out of the last 4.

Rich Rod took a lot of chances on questionable guys but not so much Stew or Dana. We haven't taken Non qualifiers or grey shirts in years. That's not to say we haven't had a player get in trouble here and there like every other program in the country. We sure as hell aren't close to Marshall when it comes to that stuff.
Gwaltney was highly rated, made it to campus fine and played, he probably would have been a star if not for his injury. He didn't take his rehab seriously and then went back home and got mixed up in the wrong crowd. His brother Scooter Berry played for us for 4 years without any problems at all.
Pacman on the other hand was a 2 star recruit who did get in trouble while at WVU.
You won't see me defend Dana. If he doesn't win 7 this year I want him fired.
If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. You are definitely not one of WVU's rivals or even close. 3-16 dude, you can't talk smack.
Once again I DID NOT MAKE THIS THREAD TO BASH THE CINCINNATI BEARCATS. I have trouble understanding why you guys are so damned sensitive. I apologize for singling out your class, I assumed you guys recruited closer to WVU in recruiting rankings than you apparently do.

we do...247 has your class currently at #23 and UC is #35. That's pretty close...esp considering you guys get to host teams like Texas, OU etc and UC doesn't.

We UC fans are a sensitive lot. We get shyte on every day by OSU fans, UK fans and Xavier fans. We got screwed by this last round of alignment and lost two trophy games, got stuck back with teams we thought we had gotten rid of, are making less on our TV contract and the small college three miles from us that doesn't move the meter as much as we do now makes more money on their TV contract.
Excuse us for being sensitive. Don't Tread on us...

RE: AAC Recruiting.
We lost in the last round of realignment because our administration had their heads in the sand and wasn't ready. So here we are on the outside looking in.
But the current administration is positioning us for the next round - and it's coming. And when it does, UC will be selected. Until then, we have to keep moving forward.

USF's recruiting has not been affected. Believe USF had 27 or 28 3 star or up recruits last year, and that was after playing a year in AAC.

I agree, USF has weathered the storm very well. I would say this is a testament to your coach and your location.

USF is on the rebound and I hope soon. The UCF/USF rivalry needs to become one of the marquee rivalries of the AAC. Hopefully it also brings in a new era of fan relations between USF and UCF. That ugliness last year where a USF fan slashed their old AD's tires, and blamed UCF fans was uncool. ***

RE: AAC Recruiting.
At Cincy, we have been able to supplement our recruiting classes with valuable transfers: Gunnar, Wilson, McKale and now this db from Arkansas. In addition, I know that many of the other AAc teams have had success with transfers. This helps to balance out the inequities of recruiting and provide the players to challenge P5 on the field.
