I think I may catch some flack for this but here's my lineup.

PG-Pookie Powell
SG-Kuran Iverson
SF-Nick King
PF-Shaq Goodwin
C-Austin Nichols

This is one of the most experienced lineups we can use and probably the the most talented. Four of the five were at one point five-star recruits. I think Kuran has a chance to make a Kyle Anderson like jump from his Freshmen to Sophmore season. For those who don't know Anderson was an elite point forward recruit coming out of high school. Had a poor Freshman year play out of position at the 4 spot. Sound Familiar. But became an All-American during his Sophomore year playing the role of Lead guard.

Both guard spots will be a dogfight. Hopefully, at least a couple of our young players will emerge.

That's the one concern with this lineup, is there enough shooting, Nick has to turn into the shooter that he was labeled coming out of high school for this lineup to work

Iverson can't play the 2 yet and probably never will be able to at the D1 level. In high school he literally stopped play when he had the ball. He did that a lot last year also. He has a huge transition to think fast, move fast and make plays quickly. I think he can do it at the 3 or 4; but I don't see him being able to make such a massive leap at the guard position.

Highest ceiling after observing last year goes to Austin. Why? The 3 B's. Brains, Brawn & Balls. Shaq should have the Brawn. We'll just see who has their circuitry complete of brains - balls.

If a shooter is needed, then I think Avery Woodson would get the start at the 2. If not, I think the spot goes to Markel Crawford. Iverson will be a major contributor though.

I have no idea but with what we have heard about Markel Crawford's game I would think if he is 100% recovered from the knee injury both physically and mentally I would think he would have an inside track to one of the guard spots after having been on campus for a year and not restricted from participating in practice due to academics.

Always an intriguing question, but I respectfully contend that the rotation is far more important than just any 5 guys.
