Quality of Life Bond/ New City Manager
Last night on 7 Extra, they talked to the new city manager.
He mentioned that the commitments to the quality of life bond will require about $32 a year extra in property taxes.
Hopefully, some of this money will be going towards an MLS stadium.
Also, he mentioned working on helping the poorest in the community among other things.
According to some reports, he eliminated 200 government jobs in Irving Texas.
This guy doesn't mess around.
All and all, I think he will be good for this city moving forward.

El Paso already has one of the highest property tax rates in Texas. When I retired I thought about returning to my hometown but even with my house paid off I have a large tax payment to the property tax man. I guess you never own your home you just rent it from local tax authority.
