again it is in "response" to a palestinian provocation, palestinian actions are never reponses to being held prisoner in permanent refugee camps while israeli's live on the land and in some cases the homes of their grandparents. i wish there was some way to have this dialogue honoring the history of pain of each side and the efforts of jews to come together and build community and homelands (but with appreciation of the costs to others). it is not an "age old" or biblical conflict. it is actually fairly recent.
