Money games
The P5 vs G5 is usually around a million .

The P5 vs FCS is usually 400k to 600k

What are the normal paydays for G5 vs FCS ?

Does proximity effect cost like for example Tennessee vs MTSU .
Tennessee vs Tenn-Martin
MTSU vs Tenn - Martin

These schools are just examples I know nothing about them except their in Tennessee.

It can't be too much since those games attract few fans or TV eyeballs.

It's more than you think. Here's an example.

Quote:CSU has finalized its 2015 nonconference schedule.

The Rams announced Friday they've added NCAA FCS opponent Savannah State as their season-opener on Sept. 5, one of three consecutive nonconference games that will be played in Colorado that year. The Tigers will make a return trip to Fort Collins in either 2017 or 2018.

Colorado State University will pay Savannah State $300,000 per game.

RE: Money games
I think that's in the ballpark of what AState is paying Missouri State and Montana State.

We got Central Arkansas and Arkansas-Pine Bluff dirt cheap because they could bus in and desperately wanted to show everyone that AState wasn't any better than they were.

And it's picked up by ESPNews. Not sure what their other options were, but I guess they think some will watch.

RE: Money games
Those sound about right.

I think I heard UC paid SEMO about 350k.

We got $1 million for a buy-game at Tennessee. We got $4.2 million for switching a home-and-home with Virginia Tech to one in Blacksburg and one in DC.

And it turns out we really got jobbed when we accepted $1 million to turn our home game with Ohio State into a game at Columbus. But that deal was made right before Brian Kelly left so I doubt he cared too much about it.

Kinda what I was thinking proximity lowers the fee.

IIRC it was the Redskins who paid that money.

RE: Money games
I think we have been paying over 400k to FCS teams. Ironically we used to only get 150k- 400k from the majors only 15 years ago. I think we got something like 150k to play GA Tech. Some of the smaller schools fund their programs off the p5 pay days now. Ucf didn't have that luxury in the 90's.
