It will be interesting to see the facts come out. Shooting a kid, accidentally or not, requires a hell of a lot of answers.

The article makes it out like the cop was running and decided to go all Hollywood cool and shoot a dog while he was jumping fences. Then again, the article is also less than credible by condemning the GBI as just another government agency disinterested in justice.

I hope the kid has no permanent injuries. What an utter shame.

C'moooooooon... The Free Thought Project, and you can't get further than the first paragraph to see they put perhaps some thought, but little effort into this- This stuff drives me nuts as it's SO easily avoided, and they want to be taken seriously?

The phrasing in the article is clearly biased against the police, but if you think the GBI investigates a cop (who's not accused of corruption) the same way it investigates a member of the public… I can't help you.

I'd assume it is similar to the ABI who, in my experience, do a proper job.

Article states there seemed to be no reason to shoot the dog, which lead to the stray bullet hitting the kid.

If the episode took place as reported this cop does not belong on any street anywhere with a weapon. He should be fired or belongs behind a desk if his union protects his job.

He showed such poor judgment that he is either just an idiot or he's an idiot who thinks he's an action movie hero.

Just another idiot with a gun.

Here's another story about the shooting and includes a video. The story uses the names lots of people except the cop.
