Should someone tell UNCW that they didn't exactly win the conference? A different team is gonna have that #1 seed and locked up NIT birth in Baltimore

JMU and Northeastern are doing it too. I hope that all indicate they are the favorites, especially UNCW. No one has handled being the frontrunner well.

No worries. Everyone still knows you guys have our number so far, and as such are the true regular season champs.

Just saw the new bracketology, and they have you guys as a 15 playing Wisconsin. Not that those brackets are ever settled until released, but it would be awesome if that's the way it worked out in real life and then you get a shot at VCU if they win.

VCU has been on a freefall since Weber got injured. They were 17-3 before the injury and 4-5 since then (including the game he got injured). They have a tough one @ Davidson this week before finishing up at home versus Mason in a game they should win before the A-10 tourney. Once a frightening team but now a very beatable team who will have trouble getting to Week 2 of the tourney.

I will be at the game on Thursday night cheering for the Wildcats. Nothing against VCU, but I have been going to Davidson games for 17 seasons and would love to see Davidson win the A-10 regular season title.

VCU is going to be a double digit seed, assuming they make the big dance, unless they get it together and make a big run in the conference tournament.

Agreed it is like a mirage in the desert at this point. No Tom Petty at all this week either. If we are looking for things to discuss, we can talk about the regular season awards to be released on Thursday or the success of the Women's team on Tuesday. Tribe baseball is a good topic.

By the way, on another thread I think BillyMac (but could have the wrong person) said no reception awards this year. Just an announcement of the awards. Anyone know why?

It may have to do with the game scheduling. You can't have the banquet on Friday because of games, and I wouldn't want to spend an extra night (2 nights?) to go to a banquet on Thursday. If I lost on Friday, I wouldn't want to go to a banquet on some other night, either.

The schedule has been the same for years and was always the night before when there were games on Friday night in Richmond. It's most likely a $$$ issue.
