If Walker had stayed on his feet after that beautiful bomb from Youyoute though, I think we would have witnessed Bison fans tearing down their own stadium after the TD he would have scored.

True story: I don't know your coaches so I can't identify them but I overheard two of them coming down from their box after the game talking about the game and one said, "Well, sometimes the best team doesn't win."

I understand what he was saying, but have to disagree with the coach. The kicker is very much a part of that team. Your coaches obviously didn't recruit the right guys to put the fate of the team in. One broken link makes the whole team weaker. Looking at it in those terms App was the better TEAM that day.

But I know how you feel. Jerry Moore never recruited kickers relying on walk-ons. This night it cost us the biggest win in school history up to that point. We lost 22-15 to Auburn in 1999 after leaving 19 points on the field. Missed two extra points, not one but two chip shot FG's, our TB fumbled as he was diving into the endzone (actually landed in the end zone) and a wide open RB dropping a pass on the two (it was about a 10 yard throw). They scored the winning points on a 33 yard pass with 38 seconds to go. Our people said we were the better team that night. I argued the better team takes advantage of the opportunities presented to them and doesn't make those types of mistakes.

2008 was a tough one, and 2009 we got beat. 2011 & 2012 have been debated enough on these boards. Video replay would have made the difference in those games. 2013 and our staff of short timers couldn't put a game plan together until the final game of the year.

I was sitting near some App fans that day at the top of the hill closest to the new FOC on the student side. Those guys were giddy like they knew they just stole that one, and they even said to me "you guys will go further in the playoffs than us this year, don't worry."

We did what had to be done. Kid was making 50 yard bombs in practice. Come game time... surprise surprise.. the line doesn't hold and he doesn't even get the kick off.

I don't really mind Blair. I got tired of the other two whining about officiating I'd turn radio off if they started .... but they've kinda chilled on that the past few seasons.

If our defense doesn't fold up and a DT get unsportsmanlike conduct penalty (s?) late in that game we don't need that kicker ....

If only we had played better we would have won that game...

The nostalgia of the old calls is great and all, but Nate can't hold a candle to the quality of GSU radio broadcasts across all sports nowadays.

I wouldn't be surprised if Blair didn't end up somewhere much bigger someday for either football or basketball. And Chambers is great on baseball broadcasts.

He's talking about the one at the end of the game. That's the only one he was in to kick.
