Sitting in the dark now, winds just died down and finally in the eye. Strongest sustained winds nearly 80, gusts around 100. Just one problem... only 9 beers left.

This storm is bullsh*t. Knocked out power long enough to kick me out of an online quiz, but hasn't provided any real excitement. I am glad it doesn't seem to be too bad, so property damage/injuries should be minimal, but strong storms are an interesting experience. We caught the edge of the western eye...the weaker side.

I think all of the SE gets their fair share. Here's a pretty cool image of the hurricane tracks from 1980-2005.

Wasnt lucky enough to catch the eye, but instead had the eye wall over the house for over an hour. Was a little sporty between midnight and 1:30. Winds above 100 for a little bit by just one tree down and a ton of limbs. Power still out though. 2 beers left.

I'm so glad I don't live near the coast... the damn flooding from the rain yesterday/last night was enough for me in Charlotte... between the storm system from the west and the pressure system of Arthur... the rain just sat over us for what seemed like forever UGH! I was stuck in my community as there was no way in hell I was driving my Nissan through 2+ feet of water sitting near the gates to get out/in! LOL

Congrats?

Just saying we're used to the sucky weather during the summers. Although we haven't been hit too bad by hurricanes in a while.

The summer weather in general is bipolar here. Rain and sunshine constantly going back and forth
