I imagine a lot of coaches are watching this closely because many are guilty of the same thing.

The sanctions and sensitivity stuff was with the old prez.

Now that this is public, the new prez might be inclined to just cut him loose.

If this stuff is true, then how was this covered up for so long. Didn't he have a good reputation at Tulsa?

There has been some talk that the former coach at College of Charleston, Bobby Cremins was not the in your face, yelling type of coach and when Wojcik came in, he considered the team too soft. His style was probably accepted at Tulsa because they were used to it. You can get away with verbal abuse if the player trusts that you are doing it in their best interest and you have the same goals. I suspect he didn't build that trust at COf C before he started tearing into them, and some of them went to administrators. After The Rutgers sistuation, even though this isn't as bad, AD's can't let allegations go or their job is on the line as well.

The other thing that helps you get away with this stuff is winning. Calipari, Coach K, Izzo all yell, curse and call their players names. They get away with it because they win.

Good points. I always wonder if a coach is really crossing the line or if players are just too soft now.

Challenging players verbally is one thing, verbally going after players parents, girlfriends, blurting out confidential information about players, stating hope that a player dies or ends up in a mental ward is way over any line. After reading the report, It sounds like the man has serious mental issues.

His month-long suspension (August) and long-term counseling/monitoring will likely be an anchor to the Charleston program. Will there be mass-transfers from their current roster? Will he be allowed to be alone with his team (monitoring)? Can the AD work with this man after calling him difficult and hard to manage? Can he earn the players respect? We'll see, but this is a very difficult challenge against any program

sounds like the guy didn't just cross the line. he jumped over it and ran about fifty yards past it. needs to be fired.

take a look at his record at Tulsa. he was not fired because of his win loss record. Tulsa just chose to cover it up because that's how Tulsa operates
