funny story, he had a kid at UNC and would go up to chapel hill to visit his son every now and then. I guess when he turned 21 he went up to hit the bars with him. Every male chapel hill student followed flair around one of the bars all night yelling "WOOOO!" Eventually flair got on the microphone and said "look, I'm really flattered y'all get a kick out of my wrestling career, but I'm trying to enjoy some time with me kid. Please refrain from screaming "woo" for the enjoyment of myself and the other patrons. Thank you."

No less than 3 seconds after he got off the MIC the entire bar erupted in "WOOO's" and he left. I think the majority of the guys were on the baseball team....one of the former baseball players told me that story.

He lived in my neighborhood growing up. I played little league with his son. Super nice dude.

SMU Football in the 80s might have been Demolition. We went on a demolition derby upsetting the balance of power. The student body has always been Ted DiBiase and is now Alberto del Rio.

I would liken UC football to Ricky "the dragon" Steamboat. Not the biggest or flashiest guy, but a high flying scrappy fighter will knock off some of the bigger guys.

Tatanka was actually in one of my favorite movies (see below) although warning, you can't get any more offensive/ less PC than Rodney Dangerfield.





Tatanka is from the same region of eastern NC as Houston's coach Sampson and they are both of the Lumbee tribe.
