Hopefully Thursday doesn't turn into next Friday or two Tuesdays from now.
It's been said in the paper and on here for two weeks or longer UC is supposed to have a conference call Nov. 16 on Adam H. You must have missed that. Don

No I remember it, but it's not like the NCAA has held true on any of their timelines.

Well if Hall is true to billing UC needs him more so than Adam H. If Hall is anything close to what has been said he is it could be 3 or 4 more wins for UC. UC might be in the 13 win range without Hall. Don

Check your PM's, this thread is far enough off topic as is.

I'm thrilled with the job Mick is doing based on what he had to start with. This team is by no means a finished product. They have shown a lack of depth and with that the inability to play two strong halves. But they have shown the ability to play strong defense for a period of time which should keep them in most games.

If they get H & H back that will give them depth and more size and I think the ability to compete in the BE.

Next year they will have H&H plus Mike Williams and four other recruits. I look forward to this year and definitely next year.

From six months ago the glass is definitely half full.

Yes but the glass is half empty. That's the part you have to worry about. ;-) Don

The glass will be filled but it's just a question of what it's being filled with.

If Don had his way he'd stuff his prepstars book right on top to make it full. Don't blame him, that sounds like the perfect ingredient.

This rebuilding process would have been so much smoother if Devan had stuck around. Jamual Warren does not look like the short term answer at pg. Way to careless with the ball and he can't shoot.

I'm worried about this year's team...were gonna have some serious trouble scoring if we play like this all the time, especially agaisnt good defensive teams like UConn and G'Town

I'm kinda curious to see if Williamson can score under the bucket against those 7 footers in the Big East. Don

Rath Wrote:Sorry to disagree with you but that is crazy talk. He inherits Allen and Ced. The 06' class was lost before he even signed his contract. Pretty much same for the 07' class. So you are saying he has to win with another 8 new faces in 08 or he is canned? Think it through. He got a 6 year contract and barring a cataclysmic collapse or a DUI he will be here.

This was a long term hire and it needed to be. Separate your own expectations from what is reasonable considering the circumstances.

Thank you for being the voice of reason. Everyone is overreacting. We know this team isn't going to be the best. But this is only the first game of the season. Every other team also looks like ****. We'll be alright.

Based on the Enquirer article this morning it's not looking good for Hall (he may not ever play) and Hyrcaniuk is a mystery.

The article spells out the possible rulings by the NCAA ; it does not say anything about the probability of what will happen. I know it is hard to be optimistic given our track record with NCAA rulings but hopefully we are due some good news for a change.

The only reason Hall was still out there in the first place was because all the other teams knew he was a problem. UC took a shot at him because there wasn't anybody else and they had nothing to lose. Wake up America! ;-) Don

Developing team chemistry is a big reason why this team is struggling. Thankfully we have 6 games to do that. But a low post presence is also needed. Hopefully those guys are ruled eligible soon. Even just one of those guys for now would be outstanding.

Remember though:

1.)This is the Enquirer. They will post any worse case scenerio or negative thing about UC that they possibly can and,

2.)The title was obviously written to sell newspapers. They immediately put in the article the other scenerios.
