Bill Bergey and Fred Barnett were a couple of good ones. It seems that we used to have a pipeline to the Eagles.

Bergey was one seriously of my favorites

When I saw the speaker for our upcoming Touchdown club banquet and auction, I thought of you.
It will be Dick Vermeil. :)

RE: I became fan because....
I've been a lover of the mountains since my dad took me hiking/camping for a weekend when I was in 4th grade. However, I didn't settle on App State until I was a freshman in high school. My brother went to soccer camp at Appalachian. The last day of camp we drove up to get him (we lived about two hours away). We took a tour of the football stadium and field house and then watched the campers play a game. We left the stadium to walk back to the car, and as we walked to the top of the stadium parking lot I told my parents, "this is where I'm going to college." I can remember exactly where I was standing when I made the decision. I still have my acceptance letter from 1998. I became an App football addict when we beat Georgia Southern 17-16 my freshman year (1999) when they were #1, and IIRC, they were averaging 59 points per game.
