Not for rent. Rents are higher and most people that own are stuck in their overpriced mortgages, but yes home prices are lower if you are lucky enough to not be already saddled with a mortgage and make enough money to be in the market, but this is a fixed expense for most people and falling prices aren't helping them if they want/need to get out.
