'68 The last Alabama Republican State Convention - held in Mobile,AL (I was a delegate from the Jeffco Young Republicans). After that time, there were enough crossover conservative politicians to hold a primary without being concerned that crossover Democratic voters might invalidate results. Since then, Republicans have taken over control (super majority) of the state's machinery.

But it is OK to mention the '68 Olympics that featured Juan Carlos and his salute to America from the medal stand? You two are not very consistent.
