Exclamation Blazers pick up Florida Transfer WR
http://247sports.com/Bolt/BREAKING-UAB-l...um=twitter

Marqui Hawkins transferred from Florida this spring. He received initial interest from Wisconsin and Nebraska. Hawkins has opted to transfer to UAB. "I just got the call from the staff," Hawkins first told 247Sports.com Monday afternoon. "They called and said everything is good to go. My transcript has went through. I'll be arriving there on Thursday and starting summer school. I felt UBA is a place I can play and its close to home." The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder redshirted this past fall at Florida. He'll sit out due due to transfer rules and then have three years of eligibility at UAB.

(Yea I saw the UBA LOL)

Now I'm hoping these coaches can coach like they recruit. If they do, UAB will "shock and awe" some opponents this season and the next ones.

Great news! Can't wait to see what kind of talent the coaching staff will bring in once we start winning some games and hopefully improving facilities.

Ok, according to the article he's a redshirt freshmen, meaning he sat out last season at UF. Why would he have to sit out this season, too?
