Michael Benkert 6'4" SG from Cedar Grove HS in Greenwood, IN
3 Star on Scout offer from Butler and Lehigh and interest from Michigan and Purdue.

Looks like another very nice player.

RE: First 2015 commit
You beat me to the punch Blu. I am excited to see someone of his caliber come to the program.

It will be interesting to see what Coach Byrd does in a couple of years with the number of 3-star players he will have in 2015. If Benkert follows through and signs, this would be the list of players on the roster listed as 3-star in 2015 with the year of eligibility year and who listed them as a 3-star:

Jr-Evan Bradds – (Scout)
Sr-Craig Bradshaw – (Rivals)
So-Mack Mercer – (Scout, Rivals, ESPN)
So-Amanze Egekeze – (Scout)
Fr-Michael Benkert – (Scout)
Jr-Taylor Barnette – (Scout, Rivals)

I cannot recall a time when we had this many players rated this high.
