I like Troy's logos except how they are implemented on the helmet, just doesn't show up well. It's like the work of a committee. Not bold enough to really amp up the T sword but too compromised to make the the "Troy" really pop and be easily readable. Really waste some good art.

I understand the majority of the logos I posted and commented on IS NOT the official athletic logos. I picked the ones I found that I personally liked.

We understand that fact..............

It is just a Georgia thang.

I know it's not a logo but I do like this

Actually, the Board of Regents filed a trademark application for that particular "GS" last year and it is scheduled to be published for opposition next month.

OK, you been waiting for it. Here it is.

OK, you convinced me. The Gordon's Fisherman Yosef is much, much better.

You got to stick with what the fans are buying. That's basically how we brought back the stAte logo.

That being the case I'm glad "outsiders" didn't have a say in it! 04-wine

Miami's "U"

You can get too busy and get too much detail. The logo should be the identifier...you shouldn't have to spell it out.

The main thing though is pick a simple iconic logo that will stand the test of time and STICK with it.

For SBC teams...we are trying to establish an identity and get some national awareness of our brands. Changing logos every year does not help.

The Cowboys star? To me that's a bit generic. When I see a star I don't think Dallas Cowboys. The fleur de lis is put on just about everything in South Louisiana so that's not iconic to me but if you live in the west I bet they think those are all different versions of the Saints logo. Unique were the original Tampa Bay Buc logo. When I see that gay pirate I always think Tampa Bay. I guess iconic or unique is a matter of opinion.

The colors on the fleur-de-lis differentiate it for me. I never think of the Saints when I see the Cajuns fleur-de-lis....but I can see how that might be different down there.

I also think the pepper logo is a brilliant addition...both as logo and apostrophe. Fun and unique.

You know, I've had a number of non Cajun fans tell me that they love the pepper. You want to talk iconic. When I see a chili pepper I think of Chilies restaurants. BTW if you are really bored google fleur de lis and you will get thousands of versions of the old French royal symbol.

So if the Board of Regents gets the trademark, who would get to use it? Georgia Southern, the BOR? The legalities involved with trademarks is not something I know much about.

I THINK the BOR gets it on behalf of GS, but Panthersville seems to be more up on these things.

I'm sure I'm biased, but stAte's is the best. The stAte logo is my favorite and the wolf is a nice addition. I would like a complimentary wolf side/profile view logo to be added.

App 's logo is good and i like NMSUs. GA state's Is terrible. I like Troy's T logo but hate thebother cartoon logos. Tx state's Is okay. I hate the pepper that the cajuns use. The others look like bad clip art IMO.
