A win at night would trump a loss with the noon national exposure. We did beat Minnesota during the day, but they had no clue what they were in for and we had a more experienced team. And a defense. No, it may not make a huge difference, but any advantage would help. We beat Pitt and Cinci at night.

Why do you think the home advantage stronger at night?

I think our team would be more used to the night environment, lighting, etc. in the venue than a team that has never played here before. Might give us a little edge, that's all.

Toledo gets larger crowds at night (students, people that work Sat. mornings, kids athletics/program on Sat. morning, etc.). Most teams play day games.....

The atmosphere at night in The Glass Bowl is different also.......

I agree with the "advantage at home at night" idea. But once again, the time of the game is all controlled by ESPN.

RE: Updated Kickoff Times for 2014 Football
Since Michigan and Ohio State are both playing on that Saturday night, having the UT-Missouri game at Noon gives them an opportunity to have a bigger crowd than they would if the game was going up against the UM/OSU games at night. Plus, if the game was that night, they probably wouldn't have television exposure. It's a trade off. On that particular Saturday, it's a bigger crowd and TV in the afternoon or a smaller crowd and no TV at night. Someone mentioned the atmosphere of the night games. The reality is, with UM and OSU both playing that night, the atmosphere probably wouldn't be that great anyway because of a smaller crowd.

Agreed. I prefer night football in the Glass Bowl, but in this instance, I am okay with the noon start. Added exposure from ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2, plus not competing with tOSU, scUM, & ND. The Glass Bowl better be ROCKing!!!04-rock

As i have mentioned before on this board i put a lower case t, mocking them, tOSU tends to capitalize or emphasize their T.

You should do you homework before referring to someone on this board as a $uckeye fan.

The time isnt the best, but I think its setting up nicely for a great showing of UT Football on television and should get a great crowd. At least 30k it.

All I saw was what every single Buckeye fan does by putting tOSU and then scUM. Don't really want to do homework on a sports chat board, my bad!

GO ROCKETS!
