Texas State External Report
So this is how we did last year and plenty to look forward next year. I have been amazed at how fast our program is growing. If you haven't noticed perception is very important to us, it's easy to get lost in the crowd for a new Texas FBS program.

What were your expectations for TXST our first year in the Sun Belt? Have they changed going into our second?

can't remember your 2014 schedule, but feel you will be 6-6 to 7-5 range.

they should do better than that

http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa-14/sun-b...hedule.php

AU-PB should be a win

Navy was 9-4 last year I will put that as a loss

Illinois was 4-8 I will say that is a win

Tulsa 3-9 last year win

Idaho win

Louisiana loss

ULM was 6-6 last year and beat Texas State, but I think Texas State could be better this year win

NMSU win

Georgia Southern at home should be a win

they beat USA last year and should this year as well win

stAte Loss

Ga state win

9-3

if they screw the pooch against a team like Illinois, Tulsa or Georgia Southern that came to play in a lot of games last year and beat Texas State last year the worst would be 6-6, but I don't think they will screw the pooch in all those so I see 8-4 or 7-5 (so your 7-5 would be the low side of what I predict)

that schedule is set up for success and confidence building as well with 4 out of the first 6 at home and Tulsa on the road that was not very good last year and Illinois on the road that was not that good......take both of those and even a home loss to Navy is not terrible

plus Navy beat a lot of bad teams last year Indiana, Delaware, Air Force, Pitt, Hawaii, USA, SJSU, Army and a decent MTSU team

and they lost to pretty much every good team they played although those were some good teams like ND, Duke, WKU and Toledo so their 9-4 record is really hard to judge

if Texas State can manage to beat Navy at home, Tulsa and Illinois on the road and not drop any games they should win against UA-PB and Idaho their stajium should be rocking for Louisiana and that could make a difference along with the confidence of that win streak

if they could manage to have that happen and beat Louisiana then I think they go to ULM and win and then crush NMSU on the road as well and then GSU at home would be rocking again and that would make a difference for sure then USA should be a win and then it is stAte at home again for a stajium that would be out of control before the other GSU on the road

even if they are undefeated coming into a home game against Louisiana and they lose that game at home if they can beat ULM and NMSU on the road the fans should show up again for GSU

overall a very favorable schedule

RE: Texas State External Report
Decent chance we could start the season off 1-3.

2014 OOC Schedule

Ark-PB
The only game I can confidently predict a win.

Navy
@Illinois
@Tulsa
Out of these next three games, I would be happy with 1 win, 2 would be great, 0-3 is probably more likely than 3-0, and I think Tulsa is the easiest game despite Navy being at home.

I see 1-3 with a slim chance at 2-2. txst does not beat illinois and I dont think they will beat navy, but might pull off the win over tulsa. I think navy plays 3 sbc teams this year. might as well join the belt.
