Former Huskie FB player passed away
Was reading latest issue of Northern Now and in the Memoriam part came across the name of Al Armato. Lived on my floor in Stevenson South in 1977-1978. He walked on to the FB team in 1977 and became a semi regular player by senior year. Used to play tackle football with him and Greg Gaston (I think, another FB player in SS) against guys from other floors. Passed away in Las Vegas in March. RIP

HC Pat Culpepper compared Alex's running style to that of a Mack Truck. Rest in piece, Alex.

Thanks for sharing.I knew Al as well, he was a teammate of mine. Tough player from Rockford Boylan (?). I would not want to play tackle fb with him and with no pads, need to take pain pills before playing.

God Bless you Alex, RIP.
