MyBB Maryland transfer Nick Faust considering...
Via Jeff Goodman's Twitter--

"@GoodmanESPN: Maryland transfer Nick Faust told ESPN he's looking at St. John's, Prov., Wichita St, UAB, Long Beach St. Will sit and have one year left."

Nice to be in the mix these days.

RE: Maryland transfer Nick Faust considering...
Leads to an interesting thought though.

With 5th year transfers along with players like this that would transfer, sit out a year, & have 1 year left, would it be worth it for UAB to go after these 1 year players when you could possibly sign a top player from within the state?

In your opinion (mainly MB's opinion I would inquire of) have we had a 1 year player (coming in under the above mentioned circumstances) make an impact?

Nick Faust averaged a bit under 10 ppg in Maryland. He'd probably fit in well as a G-SF role. He'd graduate with Brown too. He had a game or two where he put up 20 points but ended the season on a down slide.

SR Frazier Washington
JR Brown Faust?
So Watts Madison Mehinti
FR Baxter* Norton Calhoun Sullivan Lee Cockley

*Baxter will redshirt and graduate with the freshman class

Having a bit more senior leadership even on the bench and in practice can never hurt. He'd be the most experienced D1 player on our roster.

That'd be the best class to add another player in. Hopefully our fan base has a little more patience, because this is likely going to be a season filled with highs and lows, but looking at that depth chart, we can see a bright future.
