Man gets arrested for over paying and over visiting his son, 6 months incarcerated, ex-wife changed his visitation time without notice. Both you Republicans and Democrats, Conservatives and Liberals, and my fellow Libertarians should be sickened by what you read.

There isn't enough information in this article to make an informed conclusion.

Wow! A responsible father taking care of his kid is now a crime. Now there won't be any child support and the kid could be screwed.

This judge needs to be looked at very closely.

there is no fkn way this article is accurate......there's just no fkn way...

I love the internutz.....

I can't wrap my head around this one... I don't want to call BS but I would love to see some more info..

We might have to blame the Texas Legislature for this one:

Quote:In June of 2013, the Texas Legislature repealed a 1995 law which prohibited judges from finding someone in contempt for owing child support if that person paid what was owed before the court hearing.

And it sounds like this judge has a habit of making some screwball decisions:

Quote:At the heart of the case is a disturbing order issued by the state District Judge Lisa Millard in April 1999 that Natalia Gonzalez should not be allowed to speak Spanish in the presence of her daughter.

(The school district brought the suit about, because the girl was falling behind is school?)
