This was recently discussed over on the AAC boards the other day. Only a few G5 programs have grass fields. ECU, FAU, UCF, and no GaSo are the only G5 programs with on campus stadium grass fields. BYU also has grass. New Mexico State switching to turf leaves only four (or five, depending on how you consider BYU) programs left with grass.

Wow....that's crazy.

There's been whispers about us possibly going to turf at some point. No idea when such a thing might happen. I'm sure we'll have to place security around the AD office to fend off all the pitchforks and torches when it happens though.

Watch the grass go.

You may not have grass by the time football season rolls around.

Ya - you can see the fenced in areas at the North Endzone ( top of the construction web-cam shot ) and South Endzone.

They've got'em fenced off.
They've been a fixture ( in the stadium ) for decades.

I like the little critters, but they've made a living eating the moths that are attracted to the lights around campus.
Anytime there's construction, they have to work around them.

Don't do it! Us G5 grass brothers have to stick together! And no, I don't mean "that" kind of grass. Unless you're offering, then that's cool too.
