Our schedule has potential as it is right now, but if our options are 2 for 1's with top 50 teams or 7 more 250+ games, I'm going to choose the former. How has UAB and Ga Tech never played a basketball game??...it just seems like it would've happened over the last 4 decades

They and UGA wont play us either. Even in losing seasons we have run them out of the gym. Someone in the AJC voiced that there should be an in state tourney like Philly schools have. GT and UGA had a million excuses as to why they couldnt schedule it.

Its still there although revamped. Was still Bite and Die in the 80's and 90's. Much nicer fare now. As for WRAS, I assume you have heard about the Georgia Public Broadcasting deal mess.

Actually I have not, I'll take a look. It was the best FM rock in the Alt back then.

*edit* Time for a few angry e-mails. Taking WRAS to an all public radio format will be good for GPR, nice strong signal and a full time station in Atlanta. It won't do for the students working there what WRAS does now and has for decades. There are many, many radio professionals who broke in there.

Going in and making it happen without any form or public hearing is just wrong. They tried to grab Ga. Tech's station and the word got out and there was such a shitstorm about it that they were forced to back off. Looks like they went with the Pearl Harbor approach this time.

What a downer. I learned about so many musical artists I had never heard of through that station.

Yup. It took me a couple of tries to get degreed. Something about majoring in cutting class, drinking beer, and chasing women, in no particular order.

I guess I have a thing for urban schools that are third class citizens in their athletic market also, although I was at and around UH for Phi Slamma Jamma and the Jack Pardee run 'n shoot. Fun times, those.

Major effort to stop this. They have already gotten them to take a one month delay. A lot of folks not associated with GSU are ticked as this was one of the best college radio stations in the nation.

How did an announcement about A series with South Florida turn into a discussion of radio in Atlanta in the 70‘s.

The path derailments take are always interesting. this one may be top 10
