Congratulations to Ryan and best of luck. I hope you harbor no hard feelings for the Toledo fans that have been tough on you at times. It is the blade with which many of us have a problem, not you. I believe all of us knew you'd be moving onward and upward and are genuinely happy for you.

Ryan walked the fine line between being a promoter of UT athletics while still being a journalist with a critical eye. Not easy to do.

The new UT beat reporter is Nick Piotrowicz, currently of the Rocky Mount Telegram in North Carolina. He went to high school at St. John's Jesuit and then Ohio University. I went to HS with him and am friends with him on Facebook, where today he posted that he was just hired by the Blah. Not sure when he'll be starting at the Blah. He does seem to be a big supporter of the Go5.
