Another thing, I sure wish the AAC and MWC could play each other for a slot in the Access bowl and cut out the Sun Belt, Mac, and Cusa.
If the Power 5 wants to play themselves more, they will and it won't hurt to replace an Indiana with a Boise State or SDSU

Aresco and Thompson should work to cut out the SB, Mac, and Cusa from the access bowl deal.

A merger of the MWC and the AAC would be the best thing for all involved. The resulting conference should change the P5 to P.

Yes, because San Jose State, Wyoming and Utah State just scream challenger.

I doubt they'll be around in 2025.

There is a lot of dead weight in both conferences now.

our dead weight= tulsa more ncaa invites anf football wins than 80% of the mwc the last 15 years (still getting 20k attendance in football)
Tulane= AAU, rich, and willing to invest in the program (brand new stadium next year) (still averaging 20k football attendance)
your dead weight= san jose= historical bottom feeder in both basketball and football (average 13k attendance the last 2 years, on their best run in 2 decades), poor facilities and no funding
csu= 15k attendance
(i could go on but ill stop)
our dead weight isnt as dead as yours

Maybe Aresco is just playing nice so that he can carve up the MWC when Thompson least expects it. I'd be fine with that.

Yep just like they've been paying a fortune for the FCS 16 team tournament.

Um, yeah it is. What do like 15 people go to Tulane games? I mean since you bring up CSU. CSU is also building a 250 million on campus football stadium. Tulanes is 60 million?

I agree that the mwc and aac need to stick together to fight the man.
Our 2 conferences combined should have 1 guaranted access spot. This would make us tweener and then G3 for the rest. We vote along with the p5.

lol WHAT CSU STADIUM? the one that hasnt happened, that stadium is nothing but a dream at this point similar to the UNLV billion dollar stadium. a very good chance that stadium doent happen if the state doesnt cover half, which right now isnt likely lol
dont try and sell your dreams here..
and tulane averaged 20k attendace in an offcampus stadium (looked worse than it waas the stadium capacity was 70k which made it look empty)
csu is averaging 15k in the stadium they have now with a 30k capacity
and csu is mid tier in football in the mwc, your football dead weight is worse, i didnt want to bring up unlv and nm because they add basketball value but our worst in footbal, tulane would have 4 mwc teams with worse attendance below them

Ok it's not a big deal to me. I just thought it was hilarious that CSU's stadium is 5x more expensive than Tulanes LOL. Since it was brought up Tulane was so rich.

I think the size and price tag are more a representation of the available land (size of stadium) and the demand (butts in seats) not a reflection of fiscal prowess....
There may be a cost of contruction element as well. Maybe its cheaper to build in New Orleans than Fort Collins.
Just a thought.
