Tulane have also lost 2 (or is it 3) bench players this offseason. The good news is that they're not losing any key performers - so it is impossible for them to get any worse.
I think they'll go 15-19 or so, with an RPI of 160-180. That's just my guess.

^ That needs to be fixed.
Tulane seriously needs to make the commitment that SMU, Houston, and Tulsa have shown out West with their coaching hires.
That level of performance is simply unacceptable in this conference.

Oh great, the link shows him being carried off the court with a blown out knee...Still I think it's (probably) a good move. Local kid comes back to play for us. No doubt better than anyone Conroy would bring in.

If the Football team does very well and the Basketball team doesnt completely embarass themselves I dont think anyone at Tulane will care....

He has to sit out a year and has a major leg injury. One hundred percent recovery is questionable. We continue to lose players because our coach is an ass, cannot recruit or coach, and needs to resign. I hate to see the U Conn Tulane score next year.

We won 17 games last year and went to a post season tournament with 8 new faces. He coached well and has some good players. We need to recruit better. I agree. But the coaching is good in my opinion.

I don't know. We lost one today who averaged .3 ppg. I don't know how we can compete that way.
Morgan's a good player; he's hurt. He'll sit out a year and if he's recovered he'll help us, if not, he'll be put on that unable to perform list and finish his degree and not count against the schollies.
We did build a $20 Mill dollar practice facility a couple of years ago. We'll be a lot better this year....we lost no one of note, had 3 freshmen play last year and another soph coming off of injury.
And if we're not competitive in the AAC this year, we'll have a new coach.

Oh, so you think Tulane should hire a proven cheater, like the rest of you have? You Whouston fans are something else. LOL! ACC!

Unfortunately, recruiting and development is as important as coaching on the floor. And, BOTH will have to be ramped up now that Tulane is in this conference. TULANE also can't schedule to the AAC like you did to CUSA. Hell, the scheduling that was being done in CUSA is a major part of THEIR reform efforts this year.
Please don't bring that weak sauce to the AAC.

Almost no Tulane fans are happy with Conroy still being around at this point, because he's a mediocre coach and a bad recruiter. As far as scheduling goes, I haven't met a single person at Tulane who's happy with the kind of teams we've scheduled the past few years. Devlin is rockin' when it's full - and it has been many times over the past decade - but especially last season our fans spoke loud and clear. Our average attendance was the lowest I've ever seen it.
Rumor around Tulane is the AAC has told Conroy and Dickson (athletic director) that we have to put together a better schedule. We hope to god that's true. I want to go to a basketball game again that's against a team I've at least heard of. We're fed up, believe me.

A recruiting cheater or someone who cheats on his wife in the back of restaurants? At least he was polite enough to pay for the abortion. What a guy, a true mentor.

Don't know anything about the players lost. But I can tell from experience that even losing bench players can hurt, because in time they likely would develop into contributors. With them gone, you are starting that process over. It can be a benefit if better players replace them, but generally lost experience hurts over time. I can point to a couple of deep reserve players who transferred from Louisville, who's absence later cost the team.
