RE: 2014 Preseason Football Power Index
We've been trending up for several years now with Carden and Hardy and we were a top 40 team most everywhere last year and we are suddenly going to drop to 75 their senior year and have the #49th best offense. GTFO

Odd that more pundits aren't picking ECU very high. I am shocked. You Pirates might be in for a disappointment this season. They are picking SMU low, but we just signed up two good transfers (a 4* QB from A&M, backup to Johnny F., and all-conference CUSA LB from Rice, both can play this season). We may surprise me in a good way.

What, win 4 games in front of 9,000 people?

Make that 10,000. We have sold 1000 more season tickets this year, but yeah.

Umm, they have UNC 19th in this index. Rutgers 59th; UVA is 61st and NC State 70th. 03-lmfao03-drunk

RE: 2014 Preseason Football Power Index
I'd obviously have us ranked higher, but I can see how this could be a disappointing season for us. All of our vulnerabilities are represented in this conference. UCF has a physical D-Line, SMU can sling it across the field, Cincy is explosive and has great athletes. If any team gets enough time to throw it down the field, they would put us in a predicament.

Now, our offense could be the best we've ever seen this year, but the line is the question mark. If they can hold up I'm confident that our offense is going to at least pull us even with any team we play this year.

ECU always seems to start around 75 whether they won 10 games the year before like this year, or 5 games.

If it pans out this way, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Houston would get the access spot, and the AAC would get extra money for being the highest rated G5 league. They predict all sub 100 teams...not great, but not bad at all.
