For instance, you have Idaho beating NMSU but also have NMSU beating Idaho. Is each prediction seperate from each other and "best case season" or should they match all the way through?

I fixed the error, ouch..... Good Luck to the Vandals.

I am sure there will be other mistakes, just give me a heads up and we will do what we can to fix.

Thanks,

Oldtimer

I will yield to the stats I Just received in a PM from an Aggie fan who gave me a litany of reasons why the Vandals will win this game at home between, Idaho vs New Mexico State this year in the Kibbie Dome. Your passion will not go unnoticed. Thanks Aggie Fan.

Below is just part of what was sent to me.

"They have not lost to New Mexico State at home going back to 2005, when they starting playing NMSU. They have won the last 6 of 9 games played, only losing in Las Cruces. They also had a good win last year against Temple in the Kibbie Dome".

YOU SOLD ME, and I have changed the blog prediction!

2013-14 New Mexico State University Las Cruces, N.M. 16-24 L
2012-13 New Mexico State University Kibbie Dome - 26 - 18 (W)
2011-12 New Mexico State Las Cruces, N.M. 24 - 31 (L)
2010-11 New Mexico State Kibbie Dome 37 - 14 (W)
2009-10 New Mexico State Las Cruces, N.M. 21 - 6 (W)
2008-09 New Mexico State Kibbie Dome 20 - 14 (W)

2007-08 New Mexico State Las Cruces, N.M. 31 - 45 (L)
2006-07New Mexico State Kibbie Dome 28 - 20 (W)
2005-06 New Mexico State Las Cruces, NM 38 - 37 (W)

Just a couple of things. GS has 6 titles in FCS and you also have us beating Ga.State but in the Panthers write up you have them beating GS. Not being too picky but hey! Thanks for the write up.

I'm thinking Navy or Troy. Now granted, we will be underdogs in both. But with Navy, we have a lot of returners on defense that were used to practicing against the flex on a daily basis, and a defensive coordinator that practiced against it daily, and it is later in the season, so our offense will have hopefully caught some sort of stride. But our defense will be the key. Last time we played them we held them to a dozen points or so. If we can do that again we will win. Tall task, but possible.

And second, you guys. lol. Mainly due to it being a home game, and hopefully we have a good crowd at that game to get our guys fired up.

Although I am not sure how much of an upset it would be I would not be surprised if we beat NC St...

I felt a lot more confident about that game before the coaching change. I hope our offense is clicking well by then, but if not, we will be in for a long game, even though ncsu is not that good.

If you do win, I fear the game for those reasons. GS will be amped up beyond belief for this game. I believe you guys considered us a rival at some point in earlier years. Troy plays South Alabama on the Friday before (6 day layover), and then GS on Thursday (another 6 day layover). The odd scheduling could cause some "flux" issues and possibly some "lag." The outcome of the South Alabama game will have an effect on this game, win or lose.

That said, all things equal, I don't think you have the depth on defense to stop Troy's offense for four quarters. I think GS will score quite a few points though. Troy's defense looks to be improved, but you never know with Troy. If Troy's defense improves a hair or two they will win the SBC.

I it will definitely be a tough game for us to win for sure. I'm not doubting that. But if we win, I think it will be one of those efforts like against florida where our defense plays out of its mind, and creates some turnovers.

RE: ODU Blog with new G5 Section including a G5 Top 25
We have just taken the first steps in the breakaway of the two blogs
ODU Fan Forums and the site for the new Top 25 football poll, it will launch in August.

Link... A unique collaboration * let’s get started http://wp.me/p4IYx7-1f

So let me introduce “The Group of Five Fan Forum”. This will be the umbrella for many branding and marketing ventures to promote the accomplishments of the ACC, CUSA, MAC, MWC and SBC member schools. Many fans from schools of all five conferences thought this would be the best way to move forward. With that said the spilt, breakaway has started and the separation will be finalized in the next week.

I would like to thank everyone for their input, suggestions and recommendations.

If you have not voted in the FINALIST RUNOFF survey for your selection of the new name (poll), the survey ends today Sat June 14, 2014 at 9:00 pm. Link.... http://wp.me/p4IYx7-q

Thanks for the heads up. D. Franchione, I got the 3 years as HC from Wikipedia "Dennis Franchione 2nd year, 10–14 (.417)" , end of 2013. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_State...s_football

I see that was wrong, and we have fixed.

That is the result of a lot of non- Sun Belt voters hoping the SBC does not run roughshod over the MAC and CUSA like it did last year. Wishful thinking.
Of course, the additions of two move ups and two teams who have been struggling, plus the one team in the conference with a losing record last year might be giving them hope.

A conference generally generates better perception if it has an 11-1 team , a 10-2 team and a 9-3 team and everyone else basically sucks. For some reason, people are not impressed when a conference has a bunch of pretty good teams and wins their bowl games and OOC contests.

Someone PM'ed me for a link to the new site for today's countdown, sorry here it is..... Sun Belt Conference Preseason Countdown 2014 # 3 http://wp.me/p4IYx7-7P

I appreciate what you are saying CatMom, which games do you see the outcome differently. Remember this is all based on perception at this point, just a guess that is based on factors that are filtered by the predictor. Bias’s, will Influence us all, but the order was voted on by SBC members. There are many different outcomes and I hope the SBC members blow the OOC games wide open and beat the patotie out of any and all P5’s. I would love to see the SBC take them all to the woodshed and comeback with a victory.

Good luck Guys and Gals
