wow. Thats awesome. I'm doing the 8 mile trail race at the NC whitewater center memorial day. its the first actual event i've ever done since picking up running to replace mountain biking when my children were born starting in 2020 (suddenly didn't have 3-4 hours to go ride).

aiming for a ~9 minute mile pace depending on how much of the route is MTB path, which is much more twisty and slower going.

trail running>>>>>>>road running.

RE: Running/Jogging/Walking
Just finished a week where I ran 53 miles total. It's a new personal best for mileage ran for the week. Runs consisted of a 20, a 17, and a 16 mile run.

Never had any desire to do ultras. I've done 8 marathons, but my last one was at age 28 (a long, long time ago). Haven't had any serious running injuries, but the ones I had were all when training for a marathon.

I've done the Peachtree Road Race about a dozen years in a row (much slower than I ran 10ks at age 28!), but I've only done one race other than the Peachtree in the last 20 years or so. That's kind of my one road race a year.

RE: Running/Jogging/Walking
I know that this is a thread about running/jogging/walking, but would I get credit for swimming 4500 yards in 2:00:50?

Another 20 mile run completed today in 3:14:24. Should I do a third 20 mile run this week?

RE: Running/Jogging/Walking
I ran a marathon yesterday in 4:02:47. I missed out on a sub-4 hour time when I failed to hold my pace in the last mile of the run; the inclines of this part of the run slowed me, and I had nothing left to give to force the pace.
