It's a personal opinion. Just because someone says they don't like them doesn't make them horrible.

It's all about the individual aesthetic.

Ga Southern get's recruits? Other App State people always told me you had to be bad to go there. Thought they meant probation or something.

I don't mind the traditional uniforms, they actually look clean. I don't care for purposefully not displaying the brand on the helmet. A couple of other teams much more well-known already have that wrapped up.

I think that the Georgia Southern uniforms are plain, simple, not too flashy, and humble. They do not try too hard to stand out, and maybe that's why they stand out.

RE: Best looking SBC football uniforms
I don't dislike Southern's uniform, it's definitely a part of their identity and don't see it changing outside of an unprecedented period of struggling and a new young coach coming in and changing everything. I'm not predicting it will happen, just saying that's the only way I see it happening.

The uniforms do nothing for me, but I get it.

RE: Best looking SBC football uniforms
For us to start over with a new coach coming in and changing everything the program would have to hit rock bottom and I mean rock bottom. There is such a committment to tradition here that it would be hard for any coach to come in and try to start wholesale changes unless the program was in awful shape when that coach came in.

Admittedly, I am an outsider with little knowledge of Troy's history, but to me the sword with no handle isn't a sword, it's just a T. With the handle, you have a complete concept. The duality in the sword and T is something really unique that IMHO, Troy should milk as much as possible. Maybe the proportions on the helmet could be tweaked to make it bolder. I'm not that invested in the concept, it just seems like a good way to declutter the helmet and still be clearly Troy.

It's used a good bit. More so now than ever. Look at our new softball field. Cheerleader uniforms, basketball arena.
