Cruel Punishment
This poor guy Donald Sterling can't get a break. First he is kicked out of the NBA for racist remarks. Now the 80 year old Billionaire with prostate cancer is barred for life from a whore house in Nevada because some of the prostitutes who work there are black. Surely this is the end, the bottom. Can the punishment get any lower?

I guess he'll just have to console himself with his millions and millions of assets. Poor guy! Not!

A life ban from a whorehouse? Gotta be some sort of a first. Probably not many have achieved that status.

If you made this story up, nobody would believe it. One thing for sure.
He won't be invited to the White House anytime soon.04-cheers

It's a slippery slope when someone's "private" conversations are the reason for banishment. No reasonable person would condone his recorded conversations, but the guy was about to receive his second lifetime achievement award from the NAACP so he obviously has done some good things. I've always felt actions are more important than words. How many NBA owners (or any of us) have said things in private we wouldn't want broadcast world-wide? How many folks of his generation (born in the 1930's) have not made racist statements in private? The NBA commissioner did what he had to do, but it could get quite messy if Sterling fights this in court- subpoenaing secretaries, associates, etc. of every NBA owner to see if any may have made inappropriate racial statements in private. May not have many owners left by the time this is over.

RE: Cruel Punishment
Sterling - Not surprised of his comments. It was obvious that he was racist from all the discrimination lawsuits he been involved in related to his rentals. The crazy thing is that he will probably be better off selling the team than owning the team and not having any corporate sponsors and superstar players not wanting to play for his team. Also the Clippers has alot of AA and hispanic fans that go to their games.

NAACP - Not surprised of his lifetime achievement award from the LA branch. He did donate money, albeit small in the big scheme of things. The donations came after the lawsuits and I'm sure were to improve his public image. The NAACP is not like it was back in the 60s and 70s. They depend on corporate donations and pretty much irrelevant to the younger generation, IMHO.

RE: Cruel Punishment
OK, so the guy has a girl friend that sets him up to record some comments because she said she was dating/having sex with Magic that is HIV positive????

1. private conversation
2. girl you are having sex with / dating sets you up
3. girl is dating someone with a disease that will kill you
4. Magic who is cheating on his wife has the nerve to comment on this

Where do you start on this.....
