NBR: NBA Playoffs
I know that some of us on here enjoy NBA basketball, so since I hadn't seen much of it discussed, I wanted to see what everyone thought of the ongoing playoffs.
There have been some pretty awesome opening round series so far, my favorite has been Atlanta and Indiana. Any thoughts?

I was disappointed with the Memphis game tonight, I was really hoping they would put OKC away. That's one of the few series I didn't want to go to game 7. I love the way the Grizz play basketball and I have enjoyed watching them outwork OKC

Yeah, I have been interested in the ATL-Indiana series as well. I've always wanted the Hawks to do well. I felt the Bulls-Wizards series was the worst series. The Memphis-OKC series has been crazy to say the least. The game the other night whem the referee freaked out and took the ball away from Durant during a free throw was a wtf moment.

So who do they start at the one? Mike Miller?

I liked that series because it's really fun to watch the Hawks scrap wins together against the lazy Pacers. The wizards-bulls wasn't exciting but I like Washington's style. Its been a good playoffs for the under-dog teams so far.
Watching the weird way that the ref, Joey Crawford, ran like a little girl was hilarious!

He could've waited until after the Freethrow was shot to make the correction.
He completely freaked out, and looked really weird doing it. I wouldn't blame missing the Freethrow on that episode, but something like that has no place in the middle of a game. Refs take wayyyyyy too long to decide possession late in games, they can stop play for 15 minutes at a time on a whim, and now apparently they can grab the ball from players in a live ball situation.

Worst case scenario then is you have to wait until the next dead ball to correct it. The team fouls being mislabled is a problem, but it isn't something that has to be corrected at the very second it's noticed or it will screw the entire game up.

I'm a Golden State Warriors fan, as I'm originally from Northern California. The series between the Warriors and Clippers has been full of drama, both on and off the court. Game 7 is in LA on Saturday.
The obvious off-court drama has been the remarks from the Clippers' owner, Donald "Racist" Sterling. However, there is also strong speculation that the Warriors' coach, Mark Jackson, will lose his job once the season is over for his team.

Haha I know, Crawford sprinted towards Durant. I wonder what Durant was thinking when he saw him running towards him. I would have thought the world was ending lol

Since Crawford knew there was an error, he could have let the game play out. In the case of another foul or if the erroneous info became an issue for some reason, he could've corrected it at that time, since he already knew it was wrong. He had no business interjecting himself into a live ball situation like that. Not to mention he looked completely ridiculous and should be ashamed of himself for running and flailing like that.

Joey Crawford has always been a ref who takes over the game as bad as some of the most hated college refs. He did overreact, but had Durant missed the free throw, it would have been a live ball, so it had to be corrected before then.
Crawford LOVES to make the game all about him. Has been doing that throughout his career. That dead ball situation was likely his last chance to correct the error.

I've been kind of surprised by that, why would they want to fire him after the personnel moves he's made and couple of pretty good play off runs?
