This school is the sixth-largest in its state's university system.

Sounds like an Ohio school?

Ohio doesn't have a "University System."

I'm pretty sure that it's ULM, I only put "THINK" because enrollment numbers vary so much in different reportings. ULM is sixth or seventh in enrollment, depending on where you look.

I thought it may have been one of the UT's, but UT-San Antonio is third in enrollment and UT-El Paso is fourth or fifth.

I think the 6th UT school is UTPA.

Could it be SJSU?

EDIT:

Appalachian State is the 6th largest school in the UNC system

It could be SJSU, but I just checked and I think that they are 5th.

App State makes sense, they should be behind ULM. Good call.

EDIT: I didn't realize that all of the NC schools are part of the UNC System. BUT I just checked and it looks like App State is fifth in enrollment in the system.

EDIT2: App State at fifth (maybe I'm missing one?) is not very close to sixth; however, SJSU at fifth is lumped in very close to SDSU, SJSU, and SFSU (fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively).

It could be any of the three (ULM, SJSU, App State), I suppose.

EDIT3: SJSU is part of the "California State" system not the "University of California" system, I don't know if that matters.

Okay, so I did miss one.

App State makes the most sense then. Good call, I'll change the OP.

I THINK that Army is next at #118.

Quote:UP NEXT:

This program has not suffered a losing season when outscoring the competition since 1987.

Army went 5-6 in 1987 while scoring 277 points and only giving up 223 points.

I THINK that UT El-Paso is next at #117.

EDIT: WMU ended up being #117.

Paul got tricky with this one. WMU plays in "University Arena", which is located in "Reed Fieldhouse."

Reed Fieldhouse is named after ex-head basketball coach Buck Read who compiled a 345–169 record.

I put "THINK" in the El Paso guess because Haskins' winning percentage was actually 67.008%

Quote:UP NEXT:

Who's No. 117?
This university's basketball arena is named after a coach who won 67.1% of his games.

UT-El Paso's basketball arena is named after Don Haskins who had a career record of 719–354.

Anyone want to make the trip to Kalamazoo to cheer the team on against Murray State? Gotta keep the MAC respectable.

I know highly rated recruiting classes arent much unless results in wins on the field, but isnt the fanbase a bit pumped up for the coming season? Cant get worse than 1-11. Id think some excitement should be in Kalamazoo.

You were correct in your assumption. Paul got tricky with the clue for #117, it was WMU.

This one is a doozy.

EDIT: I THINK that Cal is next at #116.

Cal LB coach Garret Chachere played football at Tulane from 1987 to 1988. See list below.

Quote:UP NEXT:

Who's No. 116?
This team's linebackers coach once played alongside a wide receiver who was drafted in the seventh round of the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As best as I can tell, these are the WR's drafted in the 7th Round by the Pittsburgh Steelers:
2012: Toney Clemons - Colorado
2007: Dallas Baker - Florida
1997: Mike Adams - Texas
1995: Henry Bailey - UNLV
1980: Nate Johnson - Hillsdale College

2001: Chris Taylor - Texas A&M
1988: Marc Zeno - Tulane
1978: Mark Dufresne - Nebraska

CAL is that bad now?!? gheesh, that program has fallen back to obscurity.

Nebraska's record during 1974-77

I know the former players are not too excited. PJ has struggled relating to former players. I am afraid we could see an 0fer next year 2 wins is my guess.

PJ has yet to prove he can even win the spring game. Talent is only potential without coaching. Just look at Ron Zook
