RE: Question for EMU fans!
But I have to admit that I laughed about this thread for this reason...it reminds me of the siblings that will pick and beat the hell out of each other but when someone else does it, they are right there to defend each other. MAC fans on this board always go at EMU on here about their attendance but as soon as a CUSA fan comes and does it everyone is there at EMU's defense (or at least guard).

See deep down we all love each other here. 04-cheers

So that explains why you are out trolling during baseball season rather than following your own school's team.

Nope, not at all. I still go to games when I can, I just don't live close enough to get down as much as I would like. No reason I can't support the kids, even though I disagree with the coach.
That's puzzling, then ... how do you justify wandering around to the forums of random conference and trolling their schools, when your school has actual sports to follow?

Obviously all E Carolina fans support their football program....EMU should be envious of this.

Oh, c'mon, be fair, three vandals are no more representative of ECU supporters as a whole than a random ECU supporter out trying to stir up trouble on some other conference's forum ti distract themselves from their nerves over whether ECU will be able to stand up to the competition across the board in the American when they move over in July.

Bruce you're the only one making a big deal out of this. I came to ask a question, and it was answered. Yet you keep antagonizing, trying to make it about some rogue ECU fan trying to stir up trouble, when in all actuality you can't be further from the truth.

You are the one who started a thread in which you demanded that a school in another conference "justify" their attendance to you. Which is why I stressed that you aren't to be taken as representative of ECU fans ... I have family working in Greenville, and from what I hear from them, that kind of arrogant behavior isn't the way folks from those parts normally behave.

I demanded nothing, simply asked a question. The tone in which you interpret it is up to you, and what you suggest was not the my intent.

Some people who have been to EMU and Ball State games think they are actually under reporting, especially Ball State. Some posters theorize that it is partially due to hand counting students and the like rather than using electronic counters. Of course it could just be a bad theory.

last game i attended at emu there was definitely hand counting. i could have counted all the fans on my 2 hands

Question for EMU fans!
Hey guys, JP was not trolling. Somebody posted all the attendance numbers over on the AAC board and a few people thought EMU's figure was a typo.

When they found out it wasn't a typo, he was curious and came over here to find out why the numbers were so low.

He probably could have phrased the question more eloquently, especially given whose board this is, but I have no doubt he was sincerely looking for information without trying to troll.

Cheers.

RE: Question for EMU fans!
I think EMU's numbers are low because not enough people go to their games.

There. Consider it explained.

I'm not a mind reader and I can't hear your tone of voice ... I go by the words that are written down. If the words you said did not actually reflect your intent, you might have said so back when I pointed first pointed out the difference between "justify" and "explain".

Yeah, I think that's it, because that year that Kent had more people go to their games, I remember that they had higher attendance numbers.

Yes, "justify" has connotations that can easily be misconstrued. However, you got your answer. And there's only a certain number of people on the board that give EMU a hard time about it. Like it or not, there are other college sports besides football and basketball.

Actually, that would be KSU and Akron these days.

RE: Question for EMU fans!
EMU could probably be just as successful in track and swimming while having their football team in FCS. I wouldn't be upset if NIU played Bowling Green, Miami or Ohio instead of EMU every season.

I'm not trying to talk smack, or be negative in anyway. I'm just curious as someone who knows nothing of EMU athletics, why is it this bad?

I think EM will get at least 2,500 in the GSU bowl.
