Speaking of Rogers, I ran across a link to an article by Ryan Autullo for BCSN given by a poster on Mark Myer's Rocket Report site that indicates UT made former Rogers player Cha Sweeny an offer during her junior year in high school, but took that offer off the table after signing guards Michele Hayes and Cat Wells in the recruiting class directly in front of Sweeny's class.

Of course in the perfect world of hindsight we now know that both Hayes and Wells left UT without ever making any significant contributions while Sweeny went on to play a Eastern (which appears to have a pipeline to Rogers) where she was a starter and was voted MAC Freshman of the Year.

Interesting article. I didn't know that about the offer to Sweeney. I was also surprised to read that a freshman is likely to start at point guard. I had assumed it would be Branae Harris. With so many new players coming in, there are plenty of unknowns.
