RE: NCHC Considering Playoff Format Changes
"Other positives include an active fan outreach via social media and league web site, and a proactive officiating program that focused on training officials during the season."
Does that mean we should expect more consistentency in the calls next year?
In all seriousness, I like the fact that the league is considering everything and is open to change. I think all types of organizations need to be dynamic to stay relevant. I personally like the idea of having 6 teams make it to the tournament. That allows two more fan bases to make an appearance for the benefit of the league's bottom line and attendance figures and if they are looking to reward the two best regular season teams with the need to only win two games to guarantee a trip to the tournament and avoid the upsets like this year. I'm just not sure one guaranteed game would be enough to entice the travel costs for any school's fans outside of Minnesota.

RE: NCHC Considering Playoff Format Changes
"The NCHC is not expected to change its currently playoff format, which features four best-of-three, first-round series at the home of the higher seed. The winners advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff in Minneapolis’ Target Center."
