For the record, 15 of our 40 posts were either personally supporting or attacking Gene Hallman and somewhat through him, the credibility of the MPF project he supports. As I stated, I believe he is merely a messenger and the emphasis should be on the message, not the person delivering it.

B'ham and its metro area needs the MPF and its attendant entertainment venues in order to generate municipal revenue (metro area wide) the local people are loathe to provide through their own tax payments. Borrowing to build (through bonds & such) always means paying out more than the project would cost if paid for from revenue. We might have a lot fewer Jeffco officers doing prison time if not for bribes based on seeking the lowest possible interest rates on bonded debt.
