Let's hope so. If it requires our so-called commisioner to exert himself it won't happen, but if he can join someone else's lawsuit it might.

Hmm. According to the document, only "student"-athletes from the 65 schools comprising the "power" conferences can aspire to be professional athletes.

"Student" is in quotation marks because we know that's a fallacy at most of those 65 schools.

...just an opinion, as is the norm here, 04-jawdrop but...

When the 'P5' finally goes 'rogue' and splits from the NCAA or gains autonomy or whatever, We'll be able to break ground on the OCS within a month.

No, their rational would be "why do you need a new stadium when you're just playing lower division football?"

Yeah I don't see that happening either. I think it would be more reason to NOT give you guys the OCS.

The P-5 group will only go rogue if they can preserve their right to plunder the little guys for "always at our house" games. If they break from the NCAA and then must play only each other, those multimillion $$$ programs will be in trouble since having only 6 home games to sell on season tickets won't pay their bills. The only additional factor that might become involved is the addition of 2 more regular season games for a 14 game season giving each team 7 home games.
