Before we can believe this, who are your sources? Media, conference, school, donor??? The Uconn site has no news on this??? You say "sources", so that implies at least two people? How much faith do you have in them?

So with Championship game deregulation and 15 schools, I guess the B1G is looking at 4 permanent partners and 5 games to rotate between the other 10 schools? So you'd play everyone home and away every 4 years.

So who are UConn's 4 permanent rivals going to be? Rutgers, Maryland and Penn State should be a given. But who's #4?

That's why the B1G screwed up by blowing off Syracuse.

Not that I believe the OP but if the B1G was on the fence about inviting UConn, this would be the perfect time to do it. MBB and WBB national champions may go a long way in swaying some votes.

It isn't necessarily true but it isn't necessarily not true. The Tournament is over and thus business picked back up. UConn's championship got them a few extra looks. A certain Network is pushing them HARD towards the Big Ten because their toy conference seems to think taking UConn is equivalent to ESPN having to put forward a conference network for them.

Whether it happens or not? To be honest, I am hearing so many varying stories right now that there are a lot of self interests being served at this point. It does tell me though that we are nearing the point of something big actually happening.

August is still the target for implementation.

This isn't happening UConn needs AAU, and mizzou would have to get sick of the sec (ie struggle at football)
