Yes. Alabama, Auburn, South Alabama, Troy, or UAB.
(04-17-2014 11:43 AM)BAMANBLAZERFAN Wrote: What other level in state schools might he choose (since he could play in 2014)?
Either Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Birmingham-Southern, Huntingdon, Jacksonville State, Miles, North Alabama, Samford, Stillman, Tuskegee, or West Alabama.
What about schools in other levels, and schools of all levels in other states? Are there any of those he might choose?

At a guess, there are hundreds of schools he *might* choose...

RE: QB Jalen Whitlow transferring from Kentucky
Thanks to Green Hornet for a thoughtful and informative answer to my question.
The others - not so much. #1- I doubt any of our D1 programs will want a QB who could not crack the QB rotation at UKY and was asked to move to WR. #2- I doubt he wants to pay his own way at any nonscholarship (athletic) D3 school. #3- Samford just brought in a transfer from Arizona State so who does that leave?

as i mentioned in another thread, not uncommon to have 4-6 scholarship qbs. We only have three in spring (one coming off a shoulder injury) with one coming in the fall (possibly two) which would put us at 5.
Cody Clements
Jerimiah Briscoe
Myles McKee
Taz Wilson
Evan Orth
Pat Thomas (greyshirt?)
That guy that transferred from Southern Miss
Mike Miller is non-scholarship, but he seems to me a mainstay on the roster.
Then, how many quarterbacks are we recruiting for next year:
Ryan Stanley (offered)
Cameron Tripp (offered)
Malik Henry (offered)
D.J. Pearson (offered)
Did I miss any?
Pat Thomas is most likely not coming next year. Have not seen anything on the USM qb. McGee is a senior and will be gone after this year, Clements will be a senior next year. Just because we are recruiting 4 qbs doesn't mean we will sign 4 qbs. Most programs will sign 2 qbs per year
Mike Miller is on scholarship now. Just thought I'd add that. Pat Thomas was looking forward to signing here, news came out about his knee injury and was a red flag for Clark and co. Heard he didn't know if they would honor his scholarship, maybe McGee is trying to help the kid since he did get him to commit here when he had other offers, somewhere in there maybe he's trying stick it to UAB once again. Not sure but some of the things I've come across.

That's awesome! I've been pulling for that guy. Let's hear it for persistence!

I'm okay with how that went down, even if McGee had some extra nefarious motivation. For every case like Adrian Peterson, there are at least twice as many where people can't even walk the same after a traumatic leg injury. I'm glad he found a place to be, and I'm glad we were straight up with him, if that's the way it went down.

Yes. Alabama, Auburn, South Alabama, Troy, or UAB.
Doubt very seriously that he ends up at Troy.

He was listing every FBS school in Alabama as a snarky retort.

BBF's rhetorical questions has a way of bringing out the snark.

+1. I would have listed all the FCS schools too.
